The Court Security Section of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the safety at the Lincoln County Judicial Center at 101 E. Main Street, Stanford KY 40484.  Court Security Officers provide security and protection inside the courtrooms of the district, circuit, and family court judges.  There are two Court Security Officers assigned to each courtroom as well as Officers assigned to the main entrance of the building.  Court Security Officers are also tasked with coordinating and transporting prisoners, ensuring the integrity of jurors, and escorting witnesses in and out of hearings.

Court Security Officers have the authority to take person(s) into custody, by order of the court, for warrants as well as serving civil and criminal summonses on defendants and respondents within the judicial center.  Officers respond and address any disturbances or outburst within the Lincoln County Judicial Center.

Inside the Courtroom: No Hats, No Cut-off Shirts, Cellphones Turned Off, Talking Kept to a Whisper Until Your Name is Called, No Disruptions
